Hello viewers …….
Now I’m here to describe about textile dyeing. What a
silly topic, huh ……..???
Yeah I thought so , but through this you can remind this
thing again . And guys for us, this is the best way to keep it in mind. May I start,
if you don’t mind ………
Don’t be scared, I’ll not discuss about the history of
any dyes, because history is too bad. (Just for me)
Wikipedia says , “Dyeing is the
process of adding color to textile products like fibers,
yarns,
and fabrics. Dyeing is normally done in a special solution containing dyes and particular chemical material. After dyeing, dye molecules have uncut chemical bond with fiber molecules. The temperature and time controlling are two key factors in
dyeing. There are mainly two classes of dye, natural and man-made.”
Yeah, she is right, let me explain it again …..
Whatever we produce, fiber, yarn, fabric whatever, and
whatever the composition of our product, ……………. if any action is taken to color
that substrate , then we can referred that process as TEXTILE DYEING .
Now, let me take a deep look ………
Consider a cotton fabric/yarn/fiber which is made of
cellulose and has ( -OH) groups . For dyeing our action is to tie the (Cell-O-)
with that dye . Thus other fabrics/yarns/fibers of different composition has
dyed with a specific procedure and reaction.
So we can classify the dyeing process into three categories
….
v Fibre
dyeing
v Yarn
dyeing
v Fabric
dyeing
